Robert “Bobby” Meade
Robert Lee “Bobby” Meade, 73, of Gower, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, MO passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Gower. He was born June 7, 1938 in St. Joseph, MO to Vincent Paul and Doris Dorothy (Hoffman) Meade. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School in St. Joseph.
Bobby spent the majority of his working years for the United States Postal Service in Kansas City, MO and he later owned and operated Meade Electronics in North Kansas City, MO. He was of the Catholic faith.
A memorial graveside service and burial will be held at the Bethel Cemetery in DeKalb, MO in the spring. Local survivors include his brother, Larry Meade and wife Mona of St. Joseph, MO. The Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
So sorry, Larry. Words come difficultly for me at times like this, but you know how I feel. I’ll always remember him as Bobby , with Lanis, in the old homestead on Olive. Ah, the good old days. You know, they really were.
