Frederick L. Kramer | d. July 24, 2009
Frederick L. Kramer 85, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Friday July 24, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial Services will be held at Parkville Presbyterian Church 7:00 pm Wednesday July 29, 2009 Visitation will precede the services from 5 to 7 pm at the Parkville Presbyterian Church . Memorial contributions may be made in Frederick’s memory to the North Care Hospice for the future Hospice House at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital or the church.
Frederick was born July 23, 1924 the son of Fred and Eva (Crook) Kramer. He was a WWII Army Veteran He met the love of his life, Eve R. McGhee in the Acapella Choir at KSU and they were married June 4, 1950. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was a huge cat backer fan and held season tickets to the football games since 1968. He received his Masters of Public Administration from MU. A member of Parkville Presbyterian Church He was active in church and Sertoma Club of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother N.J. McGaw.

Ernie Erbai | d. July 15, 2009
Ernie Erbai, 36, Platte Woods, MO passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at his home. He was born November 12, 1972 in Koror, Palau to Sabino Ringang and Alfonsa Twelbang Erbai. He attended school in Palau.
Ernie worked at Wal-Mart for many years prior to his illness. He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Therese Catholic Church in Parkville.
He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Alfonsa of Palau; two sisters, Julia Ringang of Platte Woods and Melanie Ringang of Palau; three brothers, Julio Ringang of Palau, Matthew Ringang of Corsicana, TX and Valentin Ringang of Renton, WA.
A prayer service will be held 11a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland 401 Main St. Parkville, MO 64152 with Fr. Duc Nguyen officiating. Lola Virginia Newlin | d. July 15, 2009
Lola Virginia Newlin, 84, Kansas City Mo passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Home. She was born January 22, 1925 in Centerville, IA to Ezra and Lenora Thomas. She married Glenn E. Newlin on Easter Sunday of 1956 in Centerville. He preceded her in death. She was a devoted housewife and Christian by faith.
Survivors include a son, Glenn Newlin of Grain Valley, MO; two daughters, Madge Ann Parbst of Kansas City, MO and Virginia Lee Balinger of Arizona; three grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Graveside services 11a.m. Saturday July 18th at the Dale Cemetery, Centerville, IA. No scheduled visitation.
Eileen Wait | d. July 14, 2009
Mrs. Eileen Wait, 87, Riverside MO passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her home. She was born July 5, 1922 in Kearney, NE to Horace and Alice Clouse Austin. She was a graduate of Kearney High School.
She married Albert Waite on December 20, 1942 in Pecos, TX. Mr. Waite survives of the home in Riverside. Eileen was a longtime antique dealer in the Riverside and Parkville area. She was a Methodist by faith.
In addition to her husband Albert, she is survived by two daughters, Diana (Tom) Burton of New Jersey and Bev (Carl) Greeson of Columbia, MO; a son, Bruce Waite of Lawson, MO; a brother, Dan Austin of Grand Island, NE; a sister, Doris Scallon of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren, Alayna, Alex, Calvin, Carrie, Colin and Chad; two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lee Austin.
Mrs. Waite has been cremated under the direction of the Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Danene Jeanette Cummins | d. July 13, 2009
Danene Cummins, 50, Kansas City, MO passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 13 2009 at her home. She was born September 5, 1958 in New Mexico to Roger and Tavia Burrow.
Survivors include her father, Roger of Tyler, TX; mother, Tavia of Raymore, MO; children, Robert Cummins, Jr. and wife Tara of Bonner Springs, KS, Dana Everts and husband Jeremy of Kansas City, MO, Julie Cummins of Bonner Springs, KS and Randie Pollard of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Bryan Burrow and 10 grandchildren.
Alexandra DeFelice | d. July 11, 2009
Alex DeFelice, 22 of Parkville, MO passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1987 in Ft. Collins, CO to Doug and Darla Cunningham DeFelice.
She was a 2005 graduate of Park Hill South High School. Prior to her illness, she was employed in the Quality Control department at Life Touch in Kansas City. She was of the Catholic faith.
Alex enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a zest for life and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Carrie and maternal grandfather, Roy Cunningham. Survivors include her father, Doug DeFelice of Parkville; her mother, Darla DeFelice of Dallas, TX; a brother, Tyler DeFelice of Kansas City, MO; paternal grandparents, Robert and Bertha DeFelice of Canon City, CO; maternal grandmother, Marguerite Cunningham of Arizona.
A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at 7:00p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Therese Church, 7207 N.W. 9 Hwy Kansas City, MO 64152. Visitation will be from 4-7 Wednesday at the church. Friends may also call from 9am to 5pm Tuesday at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland 401 Main St. Parkville, MO 64152. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Alexandra DeFelice Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Wayne Franklin Oberdiek | d. July 4, 2009
Wayne Oberdiek, 83, Kansas City North passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1925 in East Leavenworth, MO to John F. and Bessie Cannon Oberdiek. He attended the former Stillings and Moore Schools in rural Platte County and the former Parkville High School.
He and Lois Gregg were united in marriage on January 4, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives of the home. Wayne was a rural route mail carrier in Platte County for 25 years before retiring in 1973.
He was a decorated World War II veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post #318 of Parkville where he served as Commander on several occasions. He was a member of the RSVP Clowns Alley #217 and a faithful member of the Platte Woods United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife Lois of the home, he is survived by two sons, David (Jackie) Oberdiek, Galena, MO and John (Gina) Oberdiek, Fulton, MO; two daughters, Linda (Robert) Clarkson, Gladstone, MO and Nancy (Jim) Graham, Parkville, MO; a sister, Nadine (Bob) Detro, Arvada, CO; nine grandchildren, Mike, Jimmy, Jill, Steve, Chris, Greg, Mark, Hannah, and Hali; 13 great grandchildren and one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Platte Woods Church with Pastor Ginger Pudenz officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11a.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post 318 or Platte Woods United Methodist Church.
