Jeanette Marie Mark | d. March 26, 2008

Jeanette Marie Mark, 81, of Overland Park, KS, passed away March 26, 2008, at Menorah Medical Center. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2008, followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Stanley, 14895 Antioch Road, Overland Park, KS. Private family burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.

Jeanette was born August 14, 1926, in Kansas City, MO, to Clarence and Jennie (Coll) Mark. She was a career Civil Service employee, working at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base. Following her retirement, she worked in clinical research at Marion Labs for six years. Throughout most of her life she also managed various apartment complexes in the greater K.C. area. She loved our Lord Jesus, and is now gloriously reunited with her parents and beloved sister, Barbara. She was a member of Eastern Star.

Jeanette is survived by her uncle, Russell Coll, Sr., of Kansas City, KS, as well as several much loved nieces and nephews and their extended families.


Frank Edward Fair | d. March 18, 2008

Frank Edward Fair, 62, Gladstone, MO passed away March 18, 2008 at his home in the company of his loving family.

Frank was born September 7, 1945 in Davenport, IA to the parents of Faye and Ida E. (Rice) Fair. They preceded him in death.

Frank was a graduate of the Wilton Junction High School in Davenport. He later received his BA degree in Political Science from Culver Stockton College and his MA from the University of Iowa in Hospital Administration. Frank spent the majority of his working years as a hospital administrator.

He married Carol Heim on November 15, 1977 in Des Moines, IA. She survives of the home. In addition to Carol, he is survived by 1 son, Robert John Fair of Gladstone; 2 daughters, Amy Elizabeth Korte, Columbia, MO and Jennifer Ann Fair, Gladstone, MO; 1 sister and 1 half brother; 3 grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was 1 brother.

Mr. Fair has been cremated under the direction of the Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland. There are no scheduled services.


Richard C. Dedrick | d. March 4, 2008

Richard C. Dedrick, 81 of Riverside, MO passed away March 4, 2008 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 10, 2008 at Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland in Parkville. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to a Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.

Richard was born August 21,1926 in Booneville, MO to Clarence Z. and Annetta L. (Buschmeyer) Dedrick. They preceded him in death.

Richard attended public school in Booneville. He was employed by Yellow Freight Transportation Company in Kansas City, MO for thirty years as an over-the-road truck driver. He retired in 1991. Richard was a Veteran of the US Navy.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Payne.

Survivors include three daughters Cheryl Ann Mahoney of Phoenix, AZ, Rachel Brown of Arlington, TX, Sondra Hesse of Peoria, AZ and one son Michael Dedrick of Vancouver, WA

10 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren


Billy LeRoy Nelson | d. March 5, 2008

Billy LeRoy Nelson, 72, Riverside, MO passed away Wednesday, March 05, 2008 at the Veteran’s Home in Cameron, MO. Bill was born April 9, 1935 in Parkville, MO the son of Newman and Mary Irene (Martin) Nelson. They preceded him in death. He was a member of the first graduating class of Park Hill High School in 1953.

Billy worked as route salesman in the area all of his working years. He spent the last twenty years with Highlife Sales, a beer distributor for the Miller Brewing Company. He retired in 1997. He was a Christian by faith. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Billy was a former member of the American Veterans association. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, reading the Sunday edition of the Kansas City Star, watching Nascar races and NFL football.

He married Martha Rose Huffman on November 13, 1973 in Miami, OK. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include 4 sons, Dennis and wife Dee Nelson, Kansas City, MO, Donald Nelson, Kearney, MO, Douglas and wife Kristine Nelson, Liberty, MO, Robert Peery, Riverside, MO; 2 daughters, Deborah Coble, Gladstone, MO, Sherri and husband Matthew Oxford, Riverside, MO; 2 sisters, Mary Louise VanDeBerghe, Shawnee, KS, Catherine Lemons, Clinton, MO; 3 brothers, Eugene (Gene) Nelson, Platte City, MO, Richard (Butch) Nelson, Kearney, MO and Keith Nelson, Kansas City, MO; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland. Burial will follow at the East Slope Cemetery, Riverside, MO with Military Honors. Mr. Nelson will lie in state after 1:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6-8:00p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Billy L. Nelson Memorial Fund or Regional Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home.
