Todd & Nikki DeMint

If you met Todd DeMint as a teenager he would have told you exactly what he wanted in life, “I wanted to be a funeral director." He started seriously pursuing this goal at age 15. Todd got his first professional job at Webb-Freer Funeral Home in Blue Springs, MO.

After graduating from Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri, Todd pursued baseball scholarships at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa and Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Todd graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He began his career as a funeral director serving families throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Serving and guiding families comes naturally to Todd because family is such a big part of his life. He married his high school sweetheart, Nikki, in 2001. Nikki is an elementary and special education teacher devoted to her students. In the Fall of 2008 she will be teaching at English Landing Elementary in the Park Hill School District. Nikki earned a BA from Northwest Missouri State and a Masters from Baker University. Together Todd and Nikki invest in their community, their church and their family. Their two children, Evan (age 3) and Avery (age1), are learning early on the value of giving back and serving others.

Professionally, Todd consistently keeps current on industry training and trends. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Kansas and Missouri and is a National Board Certified Embalmer.

Both Todd and Nikki expend countless hours giving back to the community. Some of their activities have included board of directors of the American Red Cross chapters, board of directors for local United Way chapters, past president Lion’s Club, Parkville Rotary, PEO, active members of St. Therese Catholic Church, and avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fans.
