Valerie M. Potter, 53, of Blue Springs, MO passed away April 25, 2011 in Independence, MO at Centerpoint Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1959 to Robert and Betty (Pierce) Owings. She was CEO of Delta Sweeping Company, a street sweeping company. Valerie had attended Cornerstone Church and was a Christian by faith. She was a member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Donald E. Hecht, 77, of Blue Springs, MO passed away April 24, 2012 at his home. He was born April 21, 1935 in Rochester, NY to Lawrence and Isabelle (Fischer) Hecht. His wife, Joan preceded him in death in 2009. He was a US Army veteran and was a meat cutter for area grocery stores. He loved reading, movies, history, and playing cards with his friends.
Jasper “Jay” M. Gimmarro, 75 of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the St. Luke’s Hospital Kansas City. A funeral mass with the celebration of Jay’s life will be 11:00 am Wednesday April 25, 2012 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church 3736 Lees Summit Rd. Independence, Mo. 64055.
