Lorine L. Krebs, 97, of Lowry City, MO, passed away July 25, 2015. She was born August 1, 1917 in Independence, MO, to Carl and Dovey (Vaughn) Fisher.

In December of 1935, Lorine married Arthur S. Krebs Jr. They were blessed with three sons. She enjoyed painting, pottery and ceramics, being a seamstress, traveling, and took part in democratic politics.  More…

Jack Wayne Austin, 74, of Blue Springs, passed away on July 25, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m.,on Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. John LaLande Catholic Church 805 NW R.D. Mize Rd, Blue Springs, Missouri.  Visitation will start one hour prior to mass at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Meyers Funeral Chapel of Blue Springs has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Jack was born May 24, 1941 in Clinton, MO, to Roy and Emma (Wade) Austin. On October 12, 1968, he married Bobbi Williams. Jack served in the National Guard and received his Bachelors from Central Missouri State University. He worked as a stock broker, retiring from UBS Financial. He was a parishioner at St. John LaLande Catholic Church, was a member of the Rotary Club in Blue Springs, was an avid cyclist, and enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and skiing.

Jack is survived by his wife, Bobbi; son, Brandon Austin and wife Juliane Zanuz Moraes; daughter, Jennifer Stanard and husband Michael; granddaughter Audrey Stanard; brother Ted Austin and wife Darlene; and nephew Steven Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Homer F. Weixeldorfer, 92, of Blue Springs, MO passed away July 24, 2015 at the Rosewood Health and Rehab Center in Independence, MO.  Homer was born February 23, 1923 in Kansas City, Mo to Joseph and Mary Weixeldorfer.  He served his country during WWII in the US Army.

Fuqua, 94, formerly of Blue Springs, MO passed away July 17, 2015 in Beaverton, OR.  She was born December 30, 1920 in Jackson County, MO to James and Leola (Hall) Strode.  She was married to Clarence V. Fuqua who preceded her in death in 1987.  She was a home maker and a member of First Christian Church of Blue Springs.  She enjoyed watching soap operas, sewing and was very crafty with woodworking.  More…

Albert G. Boeck, Jr., 91, of Independence, MO, passed away July 17, 2015.  He was born June 13, 1924 in Burlington, Iowa, to Albert and Genevieve (Hatton) Boeck.

Janice Lucille Ray, 74, of Independence, MO passed away July 14, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.  Janice was born April 18, 1941 in Cassville, MO to Oscar and Vicey (Ennis) Brooks.  She was the third of thirteen children. On May 7, 1965 she was married to the true love of her life, Clifford Ray in Miami, OK.  When celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this past year, they got remarried at a ceremony held in their home.
