Worked for the Salvation Army and was a Daycare Provider. Tresa was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed family, traveling, reading and crocheting. Mary Evelyn (Treuthart) Downing 94 of Blue Springs, MO, formerly of North Kansas City, Pomme De Terre, and Table Rock Lake, passed away February 16, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Evelyn was born on December 15, 1917 in Carthage, IL to John and Mabel (Diffendurfer) Treuthart. She was a graduate at age 17 of Carthage College. She was united in marriage to Melvin Downing on August 9, 1941 in Santa Barbara, CA. She was an executive secretary at the Maytag, CO. retiring in 1980. Evelyn was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed having and entertaining the family at the lake. She was devoted to her grandchildren.
