To Leslie,
Very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. Words are simply words at a time like this, but be thankful he was able to know and participate in the lives of his grandchildren, and that they will always have fond memories of their grandpa. Thinking of you.

Dear Leslie and Ellen,
You are both in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of your dad! Especially all the teasing he would do! I have always cherished the memories of both my grandmother and yours. I couldn’t wait to spend weekends at Cleo’s house. Bill and you both were a part of those times. I know with all my heart that your dad loved you both and was proud of the adults you have become.

To Bill’s family, my sincere condolences on the loss of your dad and grandfather. I always looked forward to our conversations. He had a wonderful sense of humor even when times were tough. He was admired by many for his generosity and upbeat attitude. It was clear from the way he talked that his daughters and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be missed.

Dear Leslie and Ellen,
I was so sorry to hear about your dad. He was such a fun part of my childhood. I can remember how much he teased me at Grandma Cleo’s house. Bev and I have so many special memories of all being together as a family. Leslie, do you remember how we would play for hours in the basement. I can remember how much fun we had riding in your dad’s semi! He was so proud of both of you. I also know that he enjoyed being around your children. I am sorry that I won’t be able to see you both on Saturday. I hope that we can all get together with our kids sometime.
Love,

Dear Ellen and Leslie,
I knew your dad in high school and at Indiana State
University. Also, we both worked at Donner Pool the summer after our senior year (l964).
Bill was liked by everyone and was fun to be around.
He was such an excellent swimmer on the school and local teams.
When I contacted him regarding our last school reunion he spoke of you girls and the grandchildren. I could tell you were his life.
May God comfort you and sustain you.
