Billie D. Brown

Billie D. Brown, 85 of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 26, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO.  He was born December 8, 1926 in Lee’s Summit, MO to Roy and Ruth (Heidleburger) Brown.  He was united in marriage to Bettie Lefholz- House on October 6, 1984 and she survives of the home.  He was a member of Plaza Heights Baptist Church, and was a salesman for Townley Hardware.  He was a World War II Army veteran.  Billie enjoyed golfing and he was a past Exalted Ruler of Blue Springs Elks Lodge.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Charles Ray Brown.

In addition to his wife Billie is survived by: sons Gary Brown, Robert Brown: step-daughter Christine Buttram; sisters, Margaret Reeder, Mary Morris, Doris Officer, Florence Wiggins; brothers,  James Brown; 4 grand children, 2 step-grand children, and 2 great grandchild.

Services for Billie will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 West Main St, Blue Springs, MO, 816-229-3276.  Visitation 10-11:00 am, one hour prior to the service.  Contributions in memory of Billie may be made to Plaza Heights Baptist Church, Blue Springs, MO.
