George Henry Nolke | d. June 26, 2008
George Henry Nolke, 63, of Carrollton, MO passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2008. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am - 11 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Carrollton with Mass to follow at 11 am. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Relay for Life of Carroll County.
George was born on April 5, 1945 in Carrollton, MO to August Henry and Leona Cecilia (Hackmann) Nolke. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School until 8th grade and finished his GED at a later date. He had currently been working for Henkel Orbseal for 7 years. Previously he worked @ Guys Foods, in Liberty, Banquet Foods in Carrollton and also worked with his Dad & Brothers building houses as Henry Nolke & Sons contractors.
George was a very loving & caring person who loved spending time with his family and especially loved all his nieces & nephews, whom he treated like grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Evelyn Lola Jones | d. June 24, 2008
Evelyn Lola Jones, 95, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on June 24, 2008. Visitation will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 am on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Meyers Funeral Chapel with funeral services commencing at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Evelyn was born on August 24, 1912 in Miami County, Kansas to Edwin and Cora (Schaffer) Geuy. She grew up in rural Miami County, Kansas and worked as a secretary during the Great Depression. Evelyn later worked at the Jones Store for over 30 years, and retired in 1987. She loved to travel and had visited all 50 states over the years, traveling sometimes with friends and family. She was Episcopalian by faith and was a devoted Democrat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Q. Jones, Jr. and son, Thomas Q. Jones, III.

Albert Mitchell | d. June 22, 2008
Albert Mitchell, 70, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on June 22, 2008 at St. Mary’s Manor. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Celebration Community Fellowship Church (101 SW South Ave Blue Springs, MO). Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2008, also at the church. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Marvin Dale Snow | d. June 21, 2008
Marvin Dale Snow, 56, of Grandview, Missouri passed away on June 21, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 5-7 pm at Meyers Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 10:00 am at Meyers Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lone Jack Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
Marvin was born on April 30, 1952 in Kansas City, MO and was raised by his parents, Clyde R. and Eleanora M. (Hemmer) Snow. He attended St. John LaLande School up until the 8th grade and was a 1970 graduate of Blue Springs High School. Marvin was a switchman for Southwestern Bell and was a member of the Communications Workers of America Union for 30 years. He loved traveling, driving, water skiing and reading, but most of all, playing Acey Ducey and Ski Ball with his daughter, Maggie Jo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde in 1981 and sister, Kathy Lynn in 1985.

Grace “Gracie” Mae Roberts | d. June 20, 2008
Grace “Gracie” Mae Roberts, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on June 20, 2008 at her home. Visitation will be held from 5-6 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Timothy Lutheran Church with funeral services at 6 pm. Graveside services will be held at Sunny Slope Cemetery, Richmond, Missouri at 10 am. Grace leaves behind her mom, Mary Roberts and siblings, Geoffrey and Sarah.
Hubert Wilson Haupt | d. June 18, 2008
Hubert Wilson Haupt ,87, Blue Springs, MO passed away June 18, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday June 20, 2008 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 West Main Blue Springs, MO 64015 816-229-3276.
Service will be held 10 am Saturday June 21, 2008 at Meyers Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.

Hubert was born March 27, 1921 in Millersville, Mo to Pearl and Minnie (Moore) Haupt. He was a salesman for Nabisco for 34 years. During WWII he was in the 10th Anti Tank Battalion and received a Bronze Star while serving in Italy. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blue Springs and formerly of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO. He also belonged to American Legion Post #499 and VFW #6603.
He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors:
He married Dorenda Hahs on January 28, 1946 and she survives of the home.

Jennifer A. Wilbanks | d. June 15, 2008
Jennifer A. Wilbanks, 51, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on June 15, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Meyers Funeral Chapel with funeral services at 11 am. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Jennifer was born on January 10, 1957 in Danville, Illinois to Harold and Mary (Carroll) Cartwright. She attended high school in Park Forest, Illinois. Jennifer had been working as an LPN at the Blue Springs Care Center in the Alzheimer’s Unit since 2005. She was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2003.

Jeffrey Earl Walls, 46, of Buckner, MO passed away on June 14, 2008. Visitation will be held at Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs, MO from 5-7 pm on Monday, June 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Timothy Lutheran Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Macon, Missouri at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Forward in Faith Campaign, at Timothy Lutheran Church or to the Cancer Treatment Center of America.
Jeff was born on August 18, 1961 in Macon, MO to VirgilWalls and Doris Holman. He was a 1980 graduate of Macon High School. On March 16, 1991, he was united in marriage to Ellen Wright. Jeff was the owner and operator of Wal-Cat Construction. He was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church, and loved to help out grilling Timmy Burgers at the Fall Fun Fest. Jeff also loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs, travel with his family, and enjoyed wine tasting. He was a very loving man and will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sandy Walls, and sisters, Connee Gist and Brenda Weatherly.

Elizabeth Collins, 82, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at St. Mary’s Manor. Visitation will be held from 12 noon-2pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Chapel Hill Presbyterian with funeral services at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Elizabeth was born on November 8, 1925 in Kansas City, MO to Luis and Elizabeth (Jordan) Sarmiento, who preceded her in death. In June 1942, she was united in marriage to William Collins. Elizabeth worked as an English teacher in Higginsville, MO until joining her husband at the accounting firm in Lexington, MO. Elizabeth was very involved with the Missouri Accountants Association. After William passed in 2000, she closed the accounting firm. Elizabeth was a member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church.

Patrick Cull Jenkins, 17, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on June 5, 2008. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Roberts. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Patrick was born on November 25, 1990 in Mansfield, OH to W. Michael and Kathryn A. (Snyder) Jenkins. He was currently attending Blue Springs South High School and had just finished his junior year. Patrick was involved in SkillsUSA, CTC Automotive Program, and the National Technical Honor Society. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He enjoyed being with his friends and the family dog, Ranger, and most of all working on cars.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Roy Carlile.

Brad Barker, 19, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on June 4, 2008. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 9, 2008 at First Bible Baptist Church of Blue Springs. Brad was born on March 22, 1989 in Blue Springs, MO. He was a 2007 graduate of Valley View High School and a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Indian Tribe. Brad enjoyed playing basketball, riding his bike, and listening to music, but most of all, he loved to help his neighbors. You would usually find him doing handiwork around one of his, or his grandmother’s neighbor’s houses. Brad had such a big heart and would always put everyone else’s needs first. He will be truly missed.
